Interview Video

ALAN

Project Description

This section features conversations with six volunteers from local animal rescue group and education groups. They are not representatives of large institutions, but self‑initiated individuals — people with their own careers, responsibilities, and everyday lives, much like anyone else in the city. What connects them is a fundamental commitment to caring for others (humans and non-humans), often in the margins of their busy routines.

Here, they share personal stories about why they choose to give their time and energy, and how these connections with our wild neighbors shape their perspectives on the city they call home.

Across the hallway, the wall presents seven species commonly encountered in urban life —including humans. Placed side by side, the display invites a quiet moment of reflection. As you look, what do you notice—and where do you see yourself among them?

ALAN (ARTISTS who LOVE ANIMALS & NATURE) is a non‑profit creative platform dedicated to reconnecting art, technology, and the natural world — rebuilding the bond between humanity and nature that has faded amid modern life. Bringing together local and international artists, ALAN uses new media art to question humanity’s place within the greater web of life, opening up new ecological perspectives. By seeing others and listening to difference, ALAN explores deeper possibilities for coexistence.
