Experiential Journey

Snowmelt

WHY?
WHY?
WHY?
SYNOPSIS

In a time of accelerating change, Snowmelt brings together interactive exhibition, mixed reality and immersive performance into one evolving environment.

The work transforms space into a responsive mountain world where digital landscapes, live bodies and audience movement intersect. Visitors do not observe from a distance — they enter a shared terrain shaped by projection, sound and physical presence.

Across shifting environments, immersive technologies blend with cross‑disciplinary performance to create a fluid dialogue between virtual and physical realms. Mixed Reality expands perception, layering digital dimensions onto live action and dissolving the boundary between audience and performer.

Drawing inspiration from extreme natural landscapes, Snowmelt explores adaptation through movement, spatial design and collective experience. Contemporary dance, physical theatre and expanded visual media converge into a kinetic, 360‑degree encounter.

Without a fixed stage or single viewpoint, the work unfolds as a living system in motion — an invitation to inhabit change rather than simply witness it.

The Wolf and The Tahr - Mixed Reality Performance - Predator. Prey. Instinctive rivals.

In this immersive Mixed Reality encounter, two opposing species face a shared crisis in a rapidly shifting mountain world. As audience and witness, you step inside their fragile terrain — where distance collapses and choices feel immediate.

When survival is at stake, does instinct divide, or can it evolve?

Blending live performance with spatial MR, digital landscapes unfold in real time around physical performers. The traditional stage dissolves; virtual and live bodies coexist within the same mapped environment. Viewers do not sit apart — they inhabit the scene.

Here, technology is not backdrop but partner, reshaping proximity, perspective and power.

In a world defined by opposition, The Wolf and The Tahr asks whether transformation — not dominance — is the truest form of strength.

Snow Runner

In the mountains, survival is not an identity. It is a moment.

Choose what moves you, and the mountain answers.

An intense race unfolds.

No one is permanently a predator.

No one is permanently a prey.

What appears powerful may falter.

What seems vulnerable may endure.

Through this intense encounter, Snow Runner reflects on the fragile equilibrium between competition and coexistence, and the way circumstance continually reshapes position, perspective, and power.

The Wild Inside Us

What mountain spirit lives with you?

This installation offers a playful psychological journey, inviting you to discover your high-altitude counterpart. Will you be the wise snub nosed monkey, the vigilant wolf, the elusive leopard, or another resourceful creature the harsh snowy mountain sends you?

Each species has evolved traits that allow it to thrive in extreme conditions. As you discover your animal affinity, you may also uncover qualities within yourself — adaptability, instinct, resilience — that shape how you navigate your own path.

Meet the Heroes

Encounter the five high‑altitude protagonists, not as spectacle, but as survivors of a changing system.

Once sovereign in terrains beyond human reach, these animals now exist within a rapidly transforming climate. Their resilience is neither romantic nor guaranteed.

To stand before them is to confront scale — geological, evolutionary, temporal.

The mountain melts.
Systems recalibrate.
Life adjusts — or disappears.

Where do we locate ourselves within this terrain?

Immersive Story Theatre

The performance follows a young golden snub‑nosed monkey separated from its family, journeying across the mountain and encountering different species along the way. Through its eyes, audiences experience how each animal survives in extreme conditions — and how crisis can reveal unexpected strength.

The story unfolds in a 360° environment. There is no fixed stage, no single perspective. Contemporary dance and acrobatic movement combine in a fluid, carefully choreographed physical language. Explosive motion is shaped with control and intention.
